About the Role

FareHarbor is looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to foster our culture of “Be Curious and Learn”.  As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a key role in building a culture of continuous learning, designing measurable learning initiatives, and delivering programs that not only enable FH but impact the employee experience.  This position is ideal for those who get excited about transforming insights into action and being a part of a dynamic growing organization.

What you’ll do here:

  • Design, curate, and maintain high-quality content supporting learning and enablement programs and initiatives. 
  • Focus on effective content delivery and learning transfer (across the full spectrum of 70-20-10), develop engaging learning initiatives, materials and interactive experiences.
  • Own the employee onboarding experience through the facilitation of monthly onboarding sessions, working closely with the People Team, department trainers and managers. 
  • Build learning paths and develop programs tailored to specific roles, skills, and competencies, leveraging data from impact, engagement and satisfaction metrics.
  • Partner closely with the L&D Business Partner, Human Resources BPs and other key stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and align learning initiatives with business goals.
  • Exemplify FareHarbor culture and values, creating an inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather and validate content, ensuring the effectiveness and relevance of training and enablement initiatives.
  • Leverage external vendors and learning platforms to create solutions and learning paths in-house.
  • Implement innovative learning methods and activities, staying up-to-date on new methods and techniques.
  • Facilitate other / ad-hoc training and sessions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a similar role within a dynamic work environment. Previous experience working at a technology/SaaS company preferred.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering engaging learning initiatives, training materials and programs.
  • Familiarity with LMS and authoring tools.
  • Understanding of best practices for adult learning.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, subject matter experts, and manage stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ability to analyze learning needs and transform them into impactful solutions.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies to measure engagement and impact and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
