The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Manager Program and Vendor Management to join our team in Denver or Beaverton.

The Manager of Program and Vendor Management oversees contracts and engagements for the. Technology portion of the business with our external vendors; management of a team of program managers who manage the design and implementation of Technology solutions for our internal stakeholders, delivering enterprise-scale solutions with complex requirements. This role must be able to understand the needs of application teams, assess and mature current processes to meet team goals and foster a team of project management professionals located across the US.

What You’ll Do

  • Leads internal team in the definition of a detailed project and program schedule; holds the team
    accountable for delivering their commitments on time and on budget and escalates accordingly
    when that is not happening.
  • Works with teams to ensure scope and change management are handled effectively.
  • Creates visibility & transparency into the progress of the project at multiple stakeholder levels on
    a regular basis.
  • Understands and navigates the organizational ecosystem to identify and effectively mitigate
    internal risks.
  • Naturally identifies and employs lessons learned from previous experience to ensure delivery of
    each subsequent project or contract negotiation.
  • Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them.
  • Process and Policy evolution across project and vendor engagement models.
  • Establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors.
  • Contract negotiation, evaluation, tracking and reporting.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience implementing IT solutions to solve business problems.
  • Experience interfacing with executive and senior levels of management.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise-wide business processes including tools &
    standards.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles, such as organization, documentation,
    delegation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of technical, business, and change impact to business activities.
  • Able to prioritize work, and shift priorities as needed to meet aggressive deadlines and
    milestones.
  • Able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Able to function in, and successfully manage, in a demanding environment.
  • Able to negotiate and manage conflict, and manage customer concerns that cause
    disappointment, dissatisfaction, or frustration for the customer.
  • Able to identify most effective and appropriate PM methodology (ies) based on project scope and
    complexity.
  • Able to mentor and develop direct and dotted-line resources.
  • Able to deviate from standard/established PM methodologies to accomplish dynamic project
    completion.
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.
  • Manages career paths by coaching and mentoring direct and indirect reports. Holds associates
    accountable for their work by setting expectations, achieving commitments, providing feedback,
    and evaluating effectiveness.
  • Provides technical leadership in the organization.
  • Manages staff (including direct, indirect, and matrixed) and program timelines.
  • Escalates critical issues to senior leadership appropriately.

    under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Excellent drive and initiative, and sense of personal accountability.
  • Certification in one or more of the following disciplines: PMP, Agile , Prince2, ITIL would be
    beneficial.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $150,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
