Palo Alto Software is looking for an experienced Demand Generation Specialist to join our exceptional team.

The Demand Generation Specialist plays a critical role in driving growth and engagement for Palo Alto Software's flagship product, LivePlan. As a key member of the acquisition team, you will employ innovative strategies across the funnel - from driving awareness to converting interest into sales.

A versatile marketer proficient in funnel strategy, your focus will be on attracting high-quality leads and nurturing them through the buyer's journey using targeted content campaigns, email nurturing, and conversion rate optimization. Your work will be instrumental in acquiring and retaining customers, driving revenue, and cementing LivePlan's position as the premier planning solution for small businesses and startups. 

This is a full-time, permanent, exempt position reporting to the Acquisition Manager. The starting pay may range from $75,000 to $90,000 per year depending on experience.

About this role:

Key Responsibilities & Results:

Monetization & Funnel Strategy:

  • Craft compelling interactive funnels and content experiences to drive user engagement, signups, and revenue from Bplans.com and the LivePlan site.
  • Design and optimize pre-sales journeys utilizing current collateral and developing new funnel collateral where necessary to engage prospective buyers, address their needs, and guide them through their buyers' journey.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Paid Advertising Lead to integrate paid campaigns that attract and convert high-value users into the funnel.
  • Continuously test and refine ad placements across Bplans and LivePlan to optimize for conversion.
  • Analyze funnel performance data to identify opportunities to reduce friction in the customer journey and optimize for increased signups and sales.

Monetization & Funnel Strategy Key Results: 

  • Continued growth over time in content page value. 
  • Increased revenue from TOFU and MOFU traffic. 
  • Growth in user engagement from interactive funnels, webinars, and pre-sales tools that aid in the user journey.
  • Enhanced user conversions across content properties like Bplans and the LivePlan blog.
  • Improved ad metrics such as CTR, ECR, and overall ad revenue. 

Email Marketing & Conversion Optimization:

  • Create and execute email campaigns to drive transactions, nurture leads, and promote offerings
  • Drive increased engagement with email and downloadable assets.
  • Guide customers through the sales funnel with strategic offers to increase conversion and lifetime value.
  • Maintain brand consistency through use of voice and tone guidelines. 
  • Oversee Hubspot CRM operations, ensuring database integrity, workflow efficiency, and effective marketing automation while maintaining up-to-date, compliant forms and landing pages.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on email campaign performance and provide strategic direction based on analysis.

Email Marketing & Conversion Optimization Key Results: 

  • Increased signups, revenue, and AOV from email campaigns.
  • Increased subscriptions to newsletters.
  • Increased download count and attributed revenue from downloadable assets and respective download/tools pages.
  • Improved email metrics such as read rate, CTR, and CVR.

  • Passion for Funnels: You have a deep appreciation and love for creating and optimizing funnels, and understanding the nuances of guiding users through a seamless journey.
  • Content Marketing Expertise: You are adept at crafting bridges that transition users from content engagement to tangible value, generating leads and conversions.
  • Analytical Acumen: You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to process bulk information, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. You are able to translate data into actionable insights and clearly communicate recommended action.
  • Organizational and Project Management Skills: You roll up your sleeves to move your own projects forward, seamlessly progressing projects spanning multiple teams and brands and ensuring that initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and satisfying the set objectives.
  • Exceptional Writing and Communication: You are adept at both conversational and conversion-driven writing which allows you to produce compelling content and messaging that speaks to our target audiences.
  • CRM Expertise: You are savvy with Hubspot or other CRM platforms and able to leverage their features to drive marketing efforts effectively.
  • Thirst for continuous learning: You take the initiative to gain the preferred skills you don’t already have and stay current with evolving Marketing technology and techniques.

Relevant education and experience: The following contributes to success in this role, but isn’t required if you have demonstrated abilities to be successful in this kind of work.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience selling a software product or subscription-based product is preferred but not required
  • Experience with CRM (preferably Hubspot) and marketing automation tools is required. This includes an understanding of their functionalities and best practices.
  • Prior experience in content marketing, understanding the intricacies of the user journey, and crafting strategies to bridge content to conversions.
