Marketing Intern

Job Description

Oregonian Media Group is seeking a marketing intern to join its Community Connections team

in Summer 2023.

As a marketing intern, you will work closely with experienced marketing professionals and assist with various marketing and community projects. You may be involved in market research, social media marketing, content creation, email marketing, event planning, and other marketing activities on behalf of The Oregonian/OregonLive and Here is Oregon.

Your responsibilities may include the following:

• Conducting market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
• Supporting marketing campaigns and strategies.
• Creating marketing materials such as one-sheets and presentations.
• Coordinating events and promotions.
• Managing social media accounts.
• Analyzing marketing data.

The internship also allows you to gain exposure to various marketing tools and technologies,

such as analytics, marketing automation software, project management, and social media

management tools.

A successful marketing intern is someone enthusiastic, creative, and detail oriented. They

should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well in a

team environment, as you will interact with various stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and attendees at community events. They should also have a strong interest in marketing and be willing to learn new skills and techniques.
