Responsibilities:

As a Mid-Level Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our backend infrastructure. You'll be working on exciting projects, leveraging your skills in PHP or Node.js, as well as your experience with frameworks like Symfony. Additionally, you will contribute to the efficiency and scalability of our systems, ensuring seamless integration with various technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience shipping production code in either PHP or Node.js.
• Familiarity with PHP Symfony framework, Laravel experience will be considered in case of no prior Symfony experience.
• Production experience with message queues (AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or similar AMQP based technology).
• Proficiency with Docker or similar container platforms.
• Experience with Restful or RPC-based APIs.
• Ability to write behavior-based test suites using PHPUnit (for PHP) or Jest / Mocha-Sinon-Chai (for Node.js).
• Fluent in English.
• Fundamental knowledge of the limitations of either Node.js or PHP gained through production experience.
  

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AWS.
• Familiarity with continuous deployments.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a curiosity to find solutions to complex problems, even when dealing with legacy code bases.
