The position is assigned to Outpatient Nursing Service at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center and is located at the Outpatient Clinic in Spokane, Washington. The LPN demonstrates active collaboration and communication with the Core Team (Patient, Primary Care Provider, RN Care Manager and the Clerical Associate) and the Expanded Team (family/caregiver, internal and community based services involved in providing care to the patient).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work requires heavy lifting (over 45 pounds), heavy carrying (45 pounds and over), straight pulling (5 hours), pushing (5 hours), reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, both hands required, walking (5 hours), standing (5 hours), repeated bending (5 hours), both legs required, ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously, near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4, good vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish basic colors, ability to distinguish shades of colors, hearing (aid may be permitted), mental stability, and emotional stability. Environmental factors include constant noise, working around moving objects or vehicles, unusual fatigue factors due to patient care, working closely with others, working alone, and protracted or irregular hours of work.
