Product Engineer

What you'll do:

"Golf Pride is a world leader in golf grip manufacturing. Golf Pride develops and manufactures golf grips for Retail and OEM customers in its two owned and operated factories. This position accountble for product development in the Tainan, Taiwan manufacturing facility. The Taiwan Product Engineer will coordinate lead cross-functional teams for quick sample, PROlaunch projects accomplishment and provide technical/engineering competence to design and develop products which meet customer requirements and quality requirements."

• Lead the NPIs based on the Product Brief and collaborate with global COE teams and N.A. OEM product engineers to achieve on-time SOP and provide technical/engineering competence to design and develop products which meet customer requirements and quality requirements.

․Lead the rapid turnaround of prototype samples to ensure on-time delivery of design freeze and and coordinate product development timelines, tasks, and progress through sample, pilot, and PPAP stages. Coordinate with cross functional team including RD/ME engineers, sourcing, quality and manufacturing.
․Facilitate ongoing product develoment plan, reviews, risk mitigation, lessons learned, and product/design standards for ProLaunch gate criteria.
․Manage the completion of projects in terms of drawings, BOMs, instructions, specifications, time and cost objectives and knowledge transfer for gate review criteria and achieve robust product ramp-up.
․Learn and maintain molding technology and know-how during the product development stage.
․Ensure all product documentation is managed and controlled in a central database (ENOVIA).
․Support material replacement projects and collaborate with the material COE team to achieve SCM strategy.
․Coordinate technology data transfer between APAC and the Global Innovation Center in Pinehurst, NC.
․Support to make proposals or solutions to support cost reduction and product improvement.
․Take initiative to make improvement and help peers to work more effectively and efficiently.
․Have reports periodically to update the project status and communicate with related function/team timely in good manner.
․Ensure that all submitted samples meet the required internal and external test requirements, and where necessary collaborate with the COE's to mitigate risk.

Qualifications:

Master or Doctoral degree
"Basic Qualifications
• Master degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 0-1+ years experience in an advanced concept development/product innovation role.
• Proficient English Language"
