Position Overview

The Product Information Specialist acts as a verifier of relevant vehicle facts, product accuracy, and general product compliance for all Ford communications for their assigned vehicles. This role reviews and provides direction on all images, claims, functionality, and messaging in each communication. The Product Information Specialist also ensures that critical product information is proactively provided in advance for these communications, including digital, brand, paid and earned media opportunities. 

They review all agency communications for assigned vehicles, emphasis is put on applied product information skills for content creation within the digital space – including but not limited to model year PDM updates, MYCO site updates, Color and Trim projects, the maintenance of associated product grids and specifications, and securing samples and reference to provide visual direction to teams on any corrections or updates needed.

Major Responsibilities

This individual’s day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Investigate, retain, and apply robust vehicle knowledge for client and agency use. Ensure all communications associated with assigned vehicles are reviewed and commented upon accurately and within deadlines
  • Attend shoots or other production activities as needed to ensure accuracy in all product depictions
  • Attend client roundtable and associated meetings as needed
  • Develop knowledge of departmental best practices, including updating claims and affidavits, client interaction, product reviews, and insight regarding the entire automotive industry
  • Active preparation and participation in product-related client deliverables, including Owner Site, Color and Trim, and sample and reference materials needed for CG updates and validation
  • Provide updates of carryover vehicles – including What’s New documents, claim updates and re-substantiation, PDM or other asset updates, Color and Trim changes and updates, and other related tasks associated with carryover vehicles
  • Ensure accurate depictions of cross-brand technologies like Ford Pass, SYNC, and other technologies/connected services are compliant within your vehicles
  • Provide critical feedback to Product Compliance Director for departmental improvements and progress

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Capable of working remotely and autonomously
  • Willing to embrace a creative environment and evolve alongside client and industry requirements
  • Proficient at discerning critical details from trivial information
  • Able to communicate concisely and convey relevant information efficiently
  • Skilled in handling multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines
  • Proficient with computers and open to learning new applications
  • Capable of making informed decisions promptly while ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Possesses an inherent curiosity and a drive for ongoing learning
  • Able to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals
  • Experience in agency, engineering, management, or automotive fields is advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service orientation 
  • 2+ years of working in a project oriented environment, preferably within advertising agency
  • Results-oriented with a creative approach to issue resolution and offering alternative solutions
  • Ability to self-prioritize and execute tasks
  • Demonstrated success in detail-oriented, mission-critical tasks
  • Understanding of photography, retouching, and image reproduction
  • High proficiency in computer usage on both Mac and PC platforms

A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people.
