Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Computer Vision and Machine Learning Research team is looking for an enthusiastic AI researcher who majored in Deep Learning and Computer Vision to help us craft the future of IBM products and push the boundaries of the state-of-the-art in challenging document understanding scene-text-recognition image and chart understanding multimodal models data synthesis.
Working as part of our team you will develop innovative solutions to challenging business problems by conducting the research implementing the solution and collaborating with experienced developers that will assist you to assimilate your work into products. You will issue patents for your work publish your research in top conferences and have access to vast computational resources to conduct your experiments and iterate quickly.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 3+ years experience in conducting research and developing software in machine learning deep learning and preferably in computer vision
• Ph.D or M.Sc in EE CS ML or equivalent
• Understanding of deep learning (specifically CNNs RNNs)
• Hands on experience in Python and ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlow and Numpy
• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals is an advantage

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Strong publication experience in Machine/Deep Leaning and/or Computer Vision.
* Proven ability (academic or industry) to research design implement and evaluate machine learning algorithms.
