An Account Manager (Digital) role (what we internally call a âDigital Sales Specialistâ) in IBM means a career where youâre leading prospective clients towards Red Hat products and Technology. You will work as the account owner for key territory accounts directly impacting adoption of emerging solutions to develop run and manage workloads of mission-critical workloads. This includes solutions for Infrastructure Application development Middleware Containerization and management and automation of IT infrastructure.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
As an SDR within Digital Sales youâll be IBMs first line of contact for Red Hat sales in the territory segment. Your primary goal will be to qualify leads gaining visibility from the customer on their Budgets availability Decision maker Business needs and Time frame within which to procure and set up the requirement and then successfully convert them into new business opportunities.
With a focus on speed to engage you will leverage your digital product and consultative selling skills to generate quality leads and connect the dots between clientsâ needs and Red Hat solutions. Youâll collaborate with colleagues across the Sales teamâ advising and supporting new business engagements throughout the critically important early phases of the sales cycle and helping to lead prospects to our solutions.

- Maintaining up-to-date offering knowledge through continuous personal development and becoming a trusted expert advisor for your clients.
- Establishing daily customer connections through calls mails and social media.
- Creating new leads and opportunities and contributing to growing the sales pipeline week on week.
- Improve the win ratio by converting a higher percentage of identified opportunities into closed deals.
- Actively participate in and drive sales plays and campaigns.
- Engaging in social selling via your social media presence. Building your credentials as a thought leader in the space whilst promoting Red Hat and your personal brand whilst engaging and influencing prospective clients.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Demonstrable success in lead generation and sales development within Technology or similarly fast-moving complex categories.
- A proven track record of consistently hitting targets in fast-paced environments whilst collaborating with others.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal written and listening) across a variety of digital platforms with an obsession for client satisfaction.
- Strong personal integrity and an affinity with technology.
- Prior work experience with English speaking markets such as ANZ would be a plus.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Good knowledge regarding the Software products and offerings in the Open Source and Cloud Native Space in the market to consult and advise and quickly grow your reputation as your clientsâ credible trusted advisor.
