What does this team do?

Join a high-performance development team delivering web applications to millions of users monthly in the fintech and media space. We value innovation collaboration and technical excellence. We are a remote workforce that uses Slack Zoom Jira and agile development practices to keep in sync.

What would you do in this role?

As a Senior Software Developer you’ll be working on a fast paced team responsible for the code that powers our ultimate goal of helping people invest and be smarter happier and richer. Successful Fools have well-formed opinions (stemming from their broad experience) and the ability to jump right into code independently.

But what does this role actually do?

  • Develop and maintain web applications using a variety of technologies including but not limited to React Next.js TypeScript and TailwindCSS.

  • Collaborate with other team members on best practices for efficient and sustainable engineering focusing on achieving a balance between aesthetics scalability and performance.

  • Provide and receive technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews.

  • Collaborate closely with design product and leadership teams to anticipate future needs and align our technology roadmap with long-term goals.

What do you need to apply?

  • A minimum of 5+ years of developing web applications

  • High level of proficiency in React Next.js Typescript GraphQL and REST APIs

  • Experience with AWS

  • Experience working with sophisticated application state e.g. Apollo Client Redux

  • Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration

  • Experience with GitHub CI/CD

  • Proven track record in high-performance teams

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Familiarity with security best practices in web development
