About the Senior Manager - Commercial Finance
As Senior Manager - Commercial Finance at Trove, you will help scale Trove's commercial finance function. You must have the financial background, and strategic forthrightness to both keep up with the transactional finance needs of a fast-growing company while at the same time working both cross-functionally with the VP of Business development and VP of Partnerships and within the FP&A group. You will report to the Sr Director of FP&A and work collaboratively with the other FP&A Manager as a team.
What You’ll Do:
- Planning: Own Revenue and Sales functions in the ongoing/annual financial planning across the company helping other departments to understand & plan for the next year as well as help them translate their goals into the AOP process.Â
- Financial reporting: Assist the other FP&A manager & accounting team in reviewing monthly financial results for accuracy, balance sheet health, and trends,Â
- Modeling/Unit costing: Work with our Sales & Partner, Data, and Operations teams to model drivers for unit costs, partner profitability and new business models and incorporate product-specific and partner-specific unit economics in our planning and pricing
- Gross Margin Growth: Through improving visibility, forecasting and analysis of results and key metrics and advising senior management on the insights gained help drive gross margin improvementÂ
- Incentive programs: design, model, analyze, and administer business and sales incentive programs as required
Experience You Bring:
- Cross-functional and business partnership skills to build solid relationships while also getting results and driving processes to conclusionÂ
- Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines in ambiguous situations or where not all information is available
- Comfortable being hands-on with data and accounting while being able to interact & discuss with Senior Management as required
- Understanding of accounting principles – CPA a definite plus
- Attention to detail
- Mastery skills at Google Applications incl. Sheets/Excel/Looker, and retrieving data with analytical tools (SQL/Python/R)
- ERP software (NetSuite) and database experience and a passion for all things finance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ecommerce experience
- Brand or retail experience
- Product/SaaS management experience
- Strategy consulting experience in retail, software or logistics
- Experience in building forecasting models in analytic software (Python / R)
