The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Senior Manager of Paid Media with experience leading a team to drive multi-channel paid advertising strategies, including PPC, display ads, app ads, social media advertising, conversion tracking and attribution reporting, and overall paid media campaigns and expertise for the company. This role will join our growing Digital Marketing Team in Beaverton, OR.

As a Senior Manager of Paid Media, you’ll be responsible for planning, executing, managing, and reporting on paid media strategies across various platforms, working closely with your team, internal stakeholders and third-party agencies to serve industry-leading ads and customer experiences online, ultimately driving customer acquisition and revenue for the company.

Candidate profile:

  • Strong understanding of paid media strategies and platforms across all search, display, app and social channels, with a keen sense of optimizing for CPA and ROAS, and a deep understanding of how they all integrate with one another.
  • Deep understanding of conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager and related tools across web and mobile properties.
  • Proven ability to optimize all areas of the paid media machine, from third-party platforms and tracking to landing pages and conversion rate optimization, and everything in between.
  • Experience leading a team, fostering a positive and growth-mindset work environment.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and agencies to plan, promote, analyze, and optimize industry-leading ad campaigns to drive traffic, leads, and trackable revenue.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, able to extract insights from complex data sets to measure campaign performance and make informed decisions. 
  • Strong negotiation skills, able to negotiate contracts with agencies, publishers and third-party vendors.
  • Strong time and project management skills, able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Creative problem solver, with the capability to research and address new challenges.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute multi-channel paid media strategies that align with overall business, marketing, and campaign objectives, working with your team and agencies to deliver results.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and agencies to plan, create, promote, and report on performance of PPC, search, display, app, paid social, and other paid media efforts.
  • Efficiently manage a multi-million dollar paid media budget.
  • Own a tech stack of tools to support PPC management, conversion tracking, optimization, and reporting.
  • Research and identify opportunities for new ad strategies and tactics that resonate with our target audiences and customer personas, while staying updated on industry trends, new ad formats and types, AI news and tools, etc.
  • Keep track of all display/search/video/content/other digital ad assets that customers may be seeing across the entire DAT digital ecosystem, and ensure that the appropriate mix of TOF/MOF/BOF ads are being delivered across digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with Content and Creative teams to develop ad content that aligns with our brand and resonates with target audiences.
  • Work closely with SEO and content teams to build a paid-and-organic pipeline delivering new and relevant content to prospects and customers.
  • Own iterative testing roadmaps for paid media, build and maintain a paid media testing roadmap and constantly try new things, report on results, learn and optimize.
  • Analyze performance metrics for campaigns, suggesting refinements to boost traffic, enhance customer experiences, and elevate conversion rates.
  • Ensure that DAT stays at the forefront of AI best practices and tools for everything related to paid media, landing pages, conversion tracking, and everything in between.

The Skills You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in paid media or digital advertising management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Expertise in Google Tag Manager is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of paid media strategies and best practices, preferably for the trucking or logistics industry.
  • Familiarity with ad management tools and platforms like Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ad Manager, Apple Search Ads, etc.
  • Experience with analytic tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, MixPanel, Google Looker/Data Studio.
  • Staying abreast with the latest trends and best practices in paid media, PPC, AI, and all related platforms.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and manage stakeholders for comprehensive projects.

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $110,000. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
