The opportunity:

We are hiring a Senior Product Designer. It is an exciting time to join us as we enter new channels and partnerships. In this role, you will be able to meaningfully shape our company's evolution into a more widely accessible, nationwide healthcare service. We are also creating an engaging digital care experience that supports our members in adopting and adhering to their healthcare plans.

What you’ll do:

• Combine strategic thinking, interaction, and visual design skills to evolve our Product.
• Optimize current member / patient digital experiences to follow interaction best practices, clear information architecture, and ease of use. 
• Collaborate closely with Design and Product Leadership to define features and contribute to the overall direction of your product area.
• Collaborate with Product to define solutions to problems, product requirements, user stories, and success metrics. Including assessing how your work drives impact and being an active partner in monitoring it
• Determine appropriate design approach based on complexity and confidence in assumptions. 
• Conduct and synthesize user research into actionable insights and utilize learnings to design solutions that meet members' needs across our experience.
• Produce high-quality design craft and supports the use, development, and maintenance of our unified Parsley Health design system.
• Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team, and facilitate design discussions.
• Create the appropriate artifacts to communicate their design idea ( EX: prototype, user journey, site maps, competitive analysis, spec ) 
• Work closely with Engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience.
• Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners to negotiate timelines, understand the desired investment, and gauge engineering effort while championing our members when negotiating tradeoffs.

What you’ll need:

• Experience in interaction, and visual
• Experience in a startup environment
• Experience conducting user research

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in service design. 
• You’ve designed for healthcare before and are familiar with the complexities of the healthcare insurance landscape.

Parsley Health is committed to providing an equitable, fair and transparent compensation program for all employees.

The starting salary for this role is between $144,500 - $170,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with candidates during the process.
