Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer in Test to join our Quality Engineering team! This is an amazing opportunity to work on various Clarivate IP products and services which could include automation, performance, manual and security aspects of testing. We would love to speak with you if you have strong Automation testing experience and skills in Playwright, Selenium, Java and JavaScript.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE, ME, B Tech)
• 5+ years of experience in software automation, test frameworks and manual testing.
• 5+ years of coding and debugging in Playwright
• 3+ years of experience testing web-based applications
• Must be a US Citizen or GC Holder

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Masters degree (MTech, MCA, MS)
• Good working experience with version control systems such as GIT or bitbucket
• Familiarity and clear understanding of Agile & Kanban development approaches 
• Familiarity of working with test and defect management tools like JIRA and Confluence 
• Familiarity of working with SQL queries
• Familiarity of working with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured
• Understanding of open-source tools would be an advantage 
• Working familiarity with cloud tools like AWS 
• Strong experience of performance engineering with at least one tool (Netload, JMeter or LoadRunner)
• Familiarity with tools like Cucumber, Rest Assured and TestNG framework. 

What will you be doing in this role?

• This is hands on role where you will be conducting both automation & manual testing
• Customizing the automation framework based on requirements
• Be prepared to evaluate, learn and use new tools 
• Work with team members in a supportive way which encourages team building and confidence with individual members 
• Work accurately and sometimes under pressure on delivering as per the expectations 
• Prioritizing individual & team’s workload
• May have to support large monthly or quarterly releases on evenings or weekends

About the Team

The QA team consists of around 75 people and is globally distributed across the world. We have a great skill set in Test Automation using Playwright, Selenium with Java and Python, Performance Engineering using JMeter, API Testing, Security Testing, Devops, BrowserStack, Cypress, Docker, AWS/Azure, PACT and many other latest technologies.

Hours of Work

• Full-time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed
• May require after hours work to support monthly or quarterly product releases on evenings or weekends for 1-3 hours at a time
• Hybrid position working 2-3 days/week on-site
• Must live within a commutable distance to one of our US office locations: Ann Arbor, MI; Alexandria, VA or Philadelphia, PA
