Job Duties and Responsibilities• Responsible for managing the customer relationship to ensure Dana are a preferred partner and aligned with customer strategic direction.• Responsible for account profitability and growth against corporate objectives, annual operating plan and long range plan.• Make product presentations to purchasing, engineering and marketing groups• Respond to customer requests for pricing, lead-time, and tooling on a timely basis
o Populate customer Cost Breakdown forms and cost walks• Develop sales strategy and objectives
o Lead Dana colleagues in Technical Demonstration events at the customer location: planning, coordination and execution• Forecast customer requirements in support of Dana's Annual Operating Plan• Develop internal customer contacts, serve as voice of customer and Dana facilities• Participate in customer meetings (purchasing, engineering, plants, etc.)• Travel to Dana and customer locations as needed to support business activities • Work with program managers to support APQP and PPAP activities• Participate in personal, electronic, and / or documented interface with customers and Dana colleagues• Participate in Value Analysis and Value Engineering Activities
Education and/or Experience:• Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or Marketing preferred or may consider equivalent work experience
Requirements:• Strong written and oral communication skills that allow the individual to express information in a clear and concise manner.• Demonstrated strong sales and negotiation skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.• Must be a proven self-starter with proven time management ability.• This individual must enjoy working in a team environment as well as independently without constant direct supervision.• Must be able to work under timing pressures and have proven track record of dependability • Strong dedication and commitment to quality customer service and satisfaction while following through on assigned projects• Experience in the following areas is considered desirable and advantageous
o General product costing concepts
o Key financial metrics - EBIT, ROIC, NPV, etc
o Interpreting engineering drawings
o DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R and Control Plans
o Project planning and reporting tools
o Capacity analysis planning and reporting tools
