The Smart Trailer and Connected Equipment business unit is one of the fastest growing product lines at Samsara. We focus on solutions that help our customers manage their trailers and other unpowered equipment.
As a full stack engineer on the Smart Trailer and Connected Equipment team you will deliver end to end solutions like tracking utilization of equipment using sensors to monitor loads and temperature and asset tracking solutions that provide a complete picture of where a customerâs assets are deployed.
This role is remote and open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC Metro Area. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience in software development.
- Strong programming/coding fundamentals with proficiency in at least one of the following: Go GraphQL TypeScript React.
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience building and shipping a 0-1 product.
Samsaraâs Compensation Philosophy : Samsaraâs compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role level and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.
We pay for performance and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.
The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence job-related knowledge skills and experience.
