Software Engineer (Unreal)

We’re looking for an outstanding Unreal Engineer to join our team! If you have a passion for developing gameplay UI tools and/or performance optimization in Unreal Engine we’d love to hear from you. As an engineer at Demiurge Studios you’ll work with other engineers artists and designers to deliver innovative games for the PC Android and iOS devices. Demiurge development teams are cohesive highly skilled and well-supported. Come join us!

Responsibilities

• Work closely with artists and designers to understand and define game features and system requirements.

• Implement test debug and maintain source code.

• Review the work of other engineers and provide constructive feedback in a highly collaborative environment.

• Provide ongoing support to artists and designers.

• Deliver high quality functional systems on time and to specification.

• Make educated trade-offs between scope quality and cost to develop.

Must- Have Qualifications

• 2+ years professional software development experience.

• Professional experience working in C++.

• Professional experience developing with the Unreal game engine

• Experience developing with Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) and Blueprint

• Experience collaborating with other engineers in a professional setting.

• Strong programming skills.

• Working knowledge of common algorithms and data structures and practical experience in their application.

• Experience authoring technical documentation for assigned work.

• BS or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics Math EE etc.) or equivalent experience.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Unreal Gauntlet Automation Framework.

• Mobile development experience.

• Professional game development experience.

• Experience optimizing software to meet performance goals.

• Experience porting existing software to new platforms.

• Experience developing and maintaining legacy software.

• Experience developing tools for content creation.
