Summary
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Serves as the Supervisory Museum Curator of Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum and is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing the programs and activities of the museum.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
Must successfully complete a background investigation.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Supervising or leading a team or project in museum programs; AND
- Conducting collections-based research and management as it pertains to proper care, registration and documentation of objects and records; AND
- Supporting exhibits and presentations using museum collections.
Education
Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Individual Occupational Requirements
Basic Requirements:
Degree: museum work; or in an applicable subject-matter field.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
OR
Four years of experience that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study as shown in A above
