This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Position is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW Department of the Army guidelines and under AR 190-56.
Position is designated as mission essential.
Position requires Temporary duty/travel when required.
Position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License
This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
Position requires incumbent to pass periodic physical agility test requirements.
Position requires incumbent to maintain requirements of Individual Reliability Program (IRP) IAW AR 190-56.
Position may require State certification for radar and breathalyzer operations.
Position requires the incumbent to work call back and/or emergency overtime when required.
Position requires incumbent to meet all mandatory requirements of AR 190-56.
Position requires the incumbent to successfully graduate from the DA (Department of Army) Police Academy.
Position requires the incumbent to meet proficiency requirements in specialized weapons and unarmed self-defense.
Position requires the incumbent to be qualified and certified in the use of chemical aerosol irritants, tear gas and radar gun.
Position requires the incumbent to be able to wear chemical protection masks, gloves, and other associated equipment and pass periodic medical examination (physical, emotional and mental stability, etc.).
Position is designated as Emergency Essential in accordance with AR 690-11.
Qualifications
About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position will serve as a Supervisory Police Officer performing law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect and investigate crimes, apprehend violators, and perform patrols within the jurisdiction of the military installation. This position is located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience reviewing and preparing accurate and concise police reports containing all pertinent information and the ability to follow established guidelines for format; experience with knowledge of report formats, procedures and basic grammar for finalizing accurate reports; experience with procedures related to the search and seizure of evidence and contraband and the securing of a crime scene and experience must have provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
