Application Engineering Specialist - Tecnomatix (Hybrid or Remote)

Geometric Solutions is actively seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team! This position can be a hybrid position commuting to our Troy, MI office, or 100% remote for non-local candidates. 

Responsibilities

• Report to the Managing Director of Geometric Solutions.
• Provide technical sales support, both pre-sales and post-sales.
• Create and present demos to customers, tailored to various functions.
• Develop and deliver technical training sessions.
• Construct proposals and estimate applicable hours for projects.
• Manage customer relationships by writing reports and communicating results, issues, and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Siemens products such as NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix: Process Designer, Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and VSA.
• Understanding and/or experience in the Design and Manufacturing process
• Experience in project management and customer support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Problem-solving experience in a manufacturing plant setting.
• Understanding of Discrete Event Simulation.
• Understanding of Robotic Systems and Automation.
