Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Learning and Development Specialist

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Learning and Development Specialist will play a critical role in driving strategic efforts to retain, develop, and drive inclusion while championing a diverse staff across the company.  They will be responsible for driving employee development and trainings with the goal of growing a well-rounded workforce.  This role will partner with HR and agency leadership to provide subject matter expertise and share ongoing perspective, insight, and knowledge in a consultative manner. 

Description: 

  • Collaborate with leadership and serve as an advisor for driving strategic efforts to retain, develop, and drive inclusion towards the maintenance of a diverse workforce
  • Provide best in class people leader and employee development programming and education to grow all employees
  • Serves as a DE&I subject matter expert by giving perspective, insight, and knowledge in a consultative manner across all teams
  • Lead the development strategies for the agency while implementing programs and agency wide trainings and collaboration sessions
  • Ensure the success and productivity of the Employee Resource Groups by collaborating with ERG leads and Executive Sponsors through the ongoing expansion of programs
  • Partner with senior leadership to embed DEI principles in development opportunities, workplace practices, processes, and policies
  • Provide guidance for communications and trainings
  • Assist with identifying and executing learning paths and experiences
  • Build and implement onboarding and skill building curriculum and career pathing for success
  • Develop and implement metrics to track, evaluate, and report on the progress of DEI and L&D objectives

Education and Experience:

  • At least three years of Learning and Development or related experience required
  • Proven ability creating, leading, and implementing DEI strategies and programming
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization and actively seeks to support, understand and empower those different perspectives and cultures
  • Understands the need to practice sensitivity to cultural norms, expectations, and ways of communicating
  • Demonstrates experience translating vision into strategy and delivering against the plan
  • Willingness to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance agency goals
  • Handles sensitive situations with empathy and effectiveness
  • Gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
  • Ability to partner with leadership to develop people to meet both their career and agency goals
  • Strong written and/or verbal communication skills

At Campbell Ewald we believe in pay equity. The salary for this position is up to $60,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on several factors including current/former employees in the position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, background, relevant experience and qualifications and location.
