Manager, Software Engineering

You will work alongside partners in engineering, product, design, and research to build tools and technologies that keep our players safe. You will lead a passionate engineering team responsible for developing Microsoft Windows® PC based software for the PlayStation® and other applications/devices. You will be responsible for providing strong technical leadership in highly secure and performant PC-based software design and development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, mentor, grow, and empower your team to achieve personal and professional goals
• Understand the product requirements and create technical specification as a product owner
• Lead day-to-day activities of the team using Agile/Scrum methodology
• Collaborate with geographical diverse teams to coordinate development activities
• Guide the team technically to build high quality products
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of PlayStation's engineering management team
• Recruit and build a great team

We're looking for someone who has:

• 3+ years of people management experience
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience building software products
• Experience in building high-performance Windows applications or SDK
• Working knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Proven history of recruiting and building great teams
• Ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for supporting team member's career growth

It would be great if you:

• Experience with game development or game engine development is a strong plus
• Experience with Windows/PC Security software development a strong plus
