You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driverβs license.
This is a bargaining unit position.
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Employee must be CPR certified.
The employee may be required to be certified in the use of a respirator.
This position requires ability to obtain licenses for the operation of Fork Lift, High Lift (JLG), and /or construction equipment, upon notification.
The employee is required to maintain current certification to perform various types of welding work. Welding proficiency is verified by destructive and non-destructive testing of welds.
This position my be job sited. The employee may be required to report for work at a location other than a permanently assigned location.
Incumbent may require immunizations as recommended by health and industrial hygiene officials.
Employee may also be required to operate license mobile cranes and motor vehicles requiring licensing for up 2 ton vehicles.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Welder without more than normal supervision performing the following types of duties: 1) Perform a variety of complete welding assignments using manual, electric arc/inert gas shielded, gas torch or similar welding process to repair modify, or fabricate all types of metal and alloy parts, equipment or components; 2) Use blueprints, sketches, work orders, specifications, or other guides to plan, layout, and complete welding assignments; 3) Welding metal parts and structures that vary in size, shape and thickness; 4) Making welds to achieve complete penetration and/or fusion of dissimilar metals.
