Responsibilities

Aspire is seeking a collaborative leader for our Business Intelligence Team. At Aspire, data is a core asset, and this position will play a key role in how our organization derives insights from data for our business operations. The Business Intelligence Manager partners in making informed, data-driven decisions and promotes the advancement of Aspire's analytical culture and capabilities. They will help provide insights and competitive advantages across a variety of insurance products and are ultimately responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the BI team's vision against company goals.

As Manager of the Business Intelligence Team, you will be actively leading and executing the design, development, and testing of analytics and reporting platforms. You will develop a strong understanding of Aspire's business and the strategic direction and will provide the data and analytics to help align efforts with Company goals. As a leader, you will seek and implement opportunities within the team and department.

As a leader, you are responsible and accountable for your implementation tasks related to delivery of reporting and analytics assets to our business. You will ensure quality in your and your team's deliverables. You will embrace continuous learning by staying current on the latest innovations within the industry.

This individual will work closely with Business teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be leveraged to make sound business decisions. The Business Intelligence Manager partners in making informed, data-driven decisions and promotes the advancement of Aspire's analytical culture and capabilities.

This role can be located in any of our three offices - Scottsdale AZ, West Chester OH, or Richmond VA.

Qualifications

  • 8+ Years of Business Data Analyst Experience
  • Commercial Insurance experience preferred
  • BA/BS Degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience may also be considered.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to direct and oversee the work of others.
  • Experience developing technical talent through coaching and mentoring Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
  • Strong critical thinking & problem-solving competency with the ability to research complex data-oriented problems.
  • Proactive and results-driven with a positive can-do attitude
  • Expert understanding of Business Intelligence, including data modeling and warehousing on-premises and cloud, and Agile concepts and practices.
  • Expert knowledge in multiple analytical tools and programming languages, such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Demonstrated independence and leadership in building analytical solutions for a business domains like insurance and/or finance.
  • Effectively communicates, verbally and written, findings and recommendations within a hybrid operating environment.
  • Must be highly adaptable, resolve ambiguity, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
