The Role

The Account Manager will plan and implement sales/account activities to grow territory and achieve established sales targets through the expansion of business with existing customers and development of new customers for existing and new applications. Additionally, the successful candidate will partner with business teams to insert new products into assigned accounts that grow sales and income. The role includes completing the technical sale and executing the business acquisition projects.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Primary interface of FUJIFILM with our customers and act as a conduit.
  • Maintain existing business and acquire new business profitably. Ensuring that no technical, process or commercial issues stand in the way of securing a new business opportunity.
  • Be an active member of the selling team which includes the following:
    • Complete pre-sale opportunities exploration and screening
    • Competitor intelligence gathering and assessment
    • Developing and maintaining customer contacts
    • Developing technical data and COO models to convince customers to evaluate materials
    • Serve as the opportunity project manager, ensuring that the evaluation and qualification are completed on time including sample tracking and feedback analysis.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the business and selling team regarding technical requirements and direction to assist in the development of new products and/or enhancement of existing products. At established customers the position is also responsible for clearly understanding customers' technology roadmaps and forward plans and fully understanding the integration of the products into the process.
  • This role has particular focus to drive and support key customer fab business expansion as in addition to managing second tier accounts that are assigned in the region.
  • The individual should possess strong leadership and team building skills and be capable of integrating well with other US accounts managers, operations, and business teams.
  • The position while based in AZ and will require significant travel to customers and FUJIFILM Electronic Materials manufacturing sites (primarily in US and Taiwan). Travel up to 50%.
  • When not traveling outside AZ, the position allows for ability to split work between the Mesa plant and from home each week.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of a BS degree with an advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferable in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
  • At least seven plus (7+) years of progressive fab or applications engineering experience in a world-class, results oriented organization with a proven track record of success. Experience in Semiconductor electronic materials strongly preferred.
  • Direct SEMI materials sales experience strongly desirable.
  • Strong planning, project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strategic orientation.
  • Must embrace learning and demonstrate ability to self-educate and be trainable.
  • Ability to understand markets both in technical and competitive context.
  • Ability to set priorities and develop practical plans.
  • Good business acumen. Ability and drive to lead and participate in cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability at problem recognition - able to start with nothing and create value.
  • Unquestioned character, values, and integrity.
  • Work location in Arizona.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin fluently is a highly desirable.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
